Intramural Sports

The Intramural Sports program offers free structured leagues and tournaments for all undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty and staff members with an SRC membership. Competition ranges from competitive to recreational; and most sports offer either men’s, women’s, or co-rec leagues. With more than 20 sports and tournaments offered, we have something for everyone!

HIGHLANDERS WELCOME

Intramural Sports is included in your SRC Membership and there are no additional costs to play in IM games.

Registration is free and easy and can be done online.

Note: Associate members and non-international students taking classes through the UCR Extension Center are ineligible to participate in Intramural Sports.

UCR Team Sports Descriptions

You can form your own team by getting together with a group of friends, fraternity brothers, sorority sisters, alumni dorm mates or club members or any combination in between. Don't belong to a team? No problem! You can sign up as a free agent and begin playing in no time. Registration is free and easy, just click here to register today.

Basketball

3 on 3 Basketball (Half Court)
Join your fellow Highlanders in the SRC's MAC Gym for a game of 3 on 3 half court basketball. Games are usually played during summer quarter on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. Winter quarter games are played on Sundays from 7:00pm until 11:00pm.

5 on 5 Basketball (Full Court)
Join your fellow Highlanders in the SRC's lower courts* for a game of 5 on 5 full court basketball. Games are usually played during fall, winter, and spring quarters on Mondays and Tuesdays from 6:00pm until 11:30pm.

*If the lower courts become unavailable, games will be played in either the MAC Gym or upper court.

Note: Major team sports feature several divisions. Students have the option of playing in the Independent (Competitive), (Recreational), Student Group or Open divisions if offered. UCR Competitive Sports & NIRSA recognizes and celebrates the transgender student population amongst their league tournament participants. Flag Football

4 on 4 Flag Football (Run-N-Shoot)
Join your fellow Highlanders in the end zone at Glen Mor Fields! Games are usually played during winter quarter on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:00pm until 10:30pm.

7 on 7/8 on 8 Flag Football
Join your fellow Highlanders in the end zone at Glen Mor Fields! Games are usually played during fall and spring quarters on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:30pm until 10:30pm.

Soccer

6 on 6 Indoor Soccer
It's fast paced and fun! We're talking about Indoor Soccer in the MAC Gym! Games are usually played on Thursdays from 7:00pm until 10:30pm.

8 on 8 Outdoor Soccer
Time to put that ball in the back of the net at Glen Mor Fields! Games are usually played during fall, winter, and spring quarters on Mondays and Tuesdays from 5:30pm until 10:30pm.

Knock it out of the park at the Blaine Sports Complex! Games are usually played during spring quarter on Mondays from 6:00pm until 10:00pm.

6 on 6 Volleyball
Set your partner up for a spike in the SRC's lower courts* for a friendly game of volleyball! Games are usually played on Wednesdays from 6:00pm until 10:30pm.

Sand Volleyball
Take part in one of the toughest sports ever at the Sand Volleyball Court! Games are usually played during summer quarter on Thursdays and Fridays from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.
